Destination Guide

Spain’s islands offer varied opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism sales, guest services, entertainment, transport, and seasonal hospitality. The Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentera, are known for international tourism, vibrant nightlife, and strong summer employment. The Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, have a milder year-round climate and steady demand for hospitality workers. Island life generally offers outdoor activities, beaches, relaxed social culture, and a slower pace, although housing can be expensive in popular destinations. EU and EEA citizens can work without a visa but must complete local registration requirements. Non-EU applicants usually need a work or internship visa arranged with an approved employer or educational institution. Before relocating, confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, internship documentation, and seasonal contract terms.
