Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s building, plant, equipment and essential services to a safe, reliable and compliant standard. Requirements typically include facilities, engineering or building-services experience, strong knowledge of maintenance systems, contractor management, workplace health and safety, budgeting and Australian regulatory requirements. Relevant trade qualifications, engineering or facilities-management credentials are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to lead maintenance teams, coordinate preventative and reactive repairs, manage suppliers and projects, control operating costs, maintain accurate records and support uninterrupted hotel operations. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving skills and a hands-on, guest-focused approach are important in this role.
