Destination Guide

Australia is an island country with varied hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events and tourism, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Tasmania and regional coastal areas. Devonport offers a quieter lifestyle, reasonable access to nature and beaches, and a strong connection to Tasmania’s ferry and tourism network. Australian workplaces generally value punctuality, clear communication, teamwork, safety and a friendly but professional service style. Employees should budget for accommodation, transport, healthcare and daily living costs, which vary considerably by location. Eligible travellers may use Working Holiday visas, while skilled or employer-sponsored options may suit longer-term employment; visa conditions, work rights and age limits should be checked with the Australian Department of Home Affairs. International applicants should also prepare a tax file number, Australian bank account and appropriate work rights before starting.
