Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island country, although this role is based on Al Marjan Island, a man-made island destination in Ras Al Khaimah. Hospitality offers many opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, wellness, and entertainment, particularly in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international working population; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Lifestyle options include beaches, desert trips, shopping, watersports, dining, and outdoor activities, while summers are extremely hot. Most overseas employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the company normally arranges medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and permits. Before relocating, confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, working hours, leave, gratuity, and flight benefits. Living costs vary, with employer-provided housing significantly reducing expenses.
