Job Description

The Executive Chef leads all culinary operations at Novotel Melbourne Preston, overseeing food quality, menu development, kitchen standards, budgeting, purchasing, hygiene and team performance. Candidates are expected to have substantial experience as an Executive Chef or senior kitchen leader, preferably in a hotel or high-volume hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety, cost control, modern culinary trends and Australian regulations is required. The successful candidate should demonstrate creative leadership, excellent organisation, commercial awareness and the ability to motivate a diverse team. Relevant culinary qualifications, sound communication skills and flexibility to work across busy service periods, weekends and public holidays are also expected.
