Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a highly international lifestyle, especially in Dubai. Hospitality professionals can find opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events and luxury dining, with demand for skilled chefs and supervisors. Dubai’s culture blends Emirati traditions with communities from around the world; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Lifestyle benefits include modern transport, beaches, shopping, desert activities and extensive dining options, although rent and summer heat can be challenging. Most overseas employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas. The employer normally arranges the work permit, medical examination, Emirates ID and residency process. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, flights and service charge are included. Bring authenticated qualifications where requested, budget for initial expenses, and check contract terms carefully before relocating.
