Laundry Manager

Job Description

The Laundry Manager oversees the hotel laundry operation, including linen, uniforms, guest clothing, equipment, inventory, quality control and departmental budgets. Candidates should have several years of laundry or housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale hotel or resort, with knowledge of commercial laundry procedures, chemicals, textile care, health and safety standards, and preventive maintenance. Supervisory experience, good organizational skills, attention to detail, computer literacy and the ability to train staff are expected. The successful candidate should maintain consistently high cleanliness and presentation standards, control operating costs, coordinate effectively with Housekeeping and other departments, and remain hands-on during busy periods. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays is normally required.
