Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, safe, and highly connected island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, technology, finance, healthcare, and logistics. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also common. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and service-oriented, with excellent public transport and diverse food options. Lifestyle costs are relatively high, especially rent, although neighborhoods outside the central area can be more affordable. Hospitality employees often work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Foreign professionals generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and occupation. Employers normally submit the application to Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. Candidates should confirm visa eligibility, housing, medical coverage, salary, and service-charge arrangements before relocating.
