Job Description

The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising swimming pools, beaches, and other aquatic areas to protect guests and colleagues. Requirements typically include valid lifeguard and first-aid certifications, strong swimming ability, good physical fitness, alertness, and the ability to perform water rescues and basic life support. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, pool, or beach environment is preferred. The successful candidate should be confident, courteous, safety-conscious, and able to communicate clearly with international guests. Duties include enforcing pool and beach rules, monitoring water conditions, responding quickly to emergencies, completing safety checks, maintaining rescue equipment, and recording incidents. Shift work, weekends, public holidays, and outdoor work in hot or humid weather should be expected.
