Job Description

The Chef de Cuisine leads the culinary operation of an assigned restaurant or kitchen outlet, ensuring consistently high food quality, presentation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. Requirements typically include a culinary degree or equivalent professional training, substantial experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine, strong knowledge of international cuisine, menu planning, food costing, purchasing, and HACCP standards. The successful candidate is expected to lead and coach a multicultural team, manage kitchen budgets and inventories, maintain Shangri-La service standards, and perform effectively in a fast-paced luxury-resort environment. Experience in upscale hotels, resorts, or high-volume restaurants, along with strong communication and leadership skills, is generally preferred.
