The General Technician supports the hotel’s Engineering and Maintenance team by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, plant equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning and other building services. Candidates should have relevant technical training or a trade qualification, practical experience in hotel, commercial-building or facilities maintenance, and a sound understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires good troubleshooting ability, safe working practices, reliability and attention to detail. Applicants should be physically fit, willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and able to respond promptly to maintenance requests. Good communication skills, a service-oriented attitude and the ability to work effectively with colleagues are expected.
