Duty Engineer

Job Description

The Duty Engineer supports the safe, reliable and efficient operation of hotel facilities, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning and building systems. Typical requirements include a technical diploma or certificate in electrical, mechanical or building services engineering, relevant maintenance experience, and familiarity with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and safety procedures. Hotel or resort experience is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to respond promptly to breakdowns, conduct inspections, complete maintenance records, coordinate with contractors and support other departments when required. The role usually involves rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays. Candidates should be practical, safety-conscious, service-minded and able to work independently while communicating effectively with colleagues, guests and management.
