The company is known for personalized service, comfortable accommodations, destination resorts, restaurants, wellness facilities, and business-focused properties. Its Philippine operations include well-established hotels and resorts serving leisure travelers, corporate guests, families, and events. Shangri-La emphasizes genuine hospitality, service excellence, employee development, sustainability, and strong operational standards. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality, tourism, procurement, retail, shared-services, and logistics opportunities, especially in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and major resort areas. Manila has the broadest corporate and hotel job market, while Cebu and resort islands provide more destination-focused roles. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, English-speaking, and community minded. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to relaxed coastal life, with affordable local food, beaches, festivals, and outdoor activities. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate visa, commonly involving an Alien Employment Permit and a 9(g) work visa; requirements can change, so confirmation with the Bureau of Immigration and the employer is essential. Relocation should include housing, healthcare, transport, banking, taxes, and typhoon planning. Local salaries may be modest compared with international markets, so accommodation and benefits should be reviewed carefully.
