Destination Guide

Singapore is a highly developed island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare, logistics and education. Hotels and resorts regularly recruit people in guest services, food and beverage, culinary operations, sales and human resources. The culture is multicultural, organised and fast-paced, with English widely used at work alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Lifestyle options include excellent public transport, safe neighbourhoods, diverse food, shopping, parks and easy access to Southeast Asia. Housing can be expensive, especially in central areas, so candidates should compare staff accommodation, shared rentals and transport costs. Foreign professionals generally need employer-sponsored permission, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to government eligibility rules and salary requirements. Employers usually guide successful applicants through the application process. Bring certified qualifications, references and relevant employment documents when relocating.
