Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in hospitality, finance, tourism, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, and education. Major employment centres include Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak, while islands such as Langkawi, Penang, and parts of Borneo provide resort and tourism roles. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international communities; English is widely used in business, although Malay is the national language. Lifestyle costs vary: Kuala Lumpur is convenient and urban, while island destinations are more relaxed but may have fewer services and higher prices for imported goods. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, and the company must handle the relevant approval process. Applicants should confirm visa eligibility, accommodation, tax, healthcare, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
