Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah, with extensive coastlines and resort destinations. Job opportunities are strongest in hospitality, tourism, real estate, finance, construction, aviation, technology, and retail. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international workforce; respectful dress and conduct are important, especially during Ramadan. Lifestyle varies from fast-paced city living to beach, desert, and mountain activities. Employers normally sponsor a work visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID for overseas hires, although requirements can change. Candidates should confirm the package includes housing or an allowance, health insurance, flights, relocation support, and gratuity terms. Costs are high in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, particularly for accommodation, while other emirates may be more affordable.
