Job Description

The Senior Events Manager is responsible for planning, selling and delivering conferences, weddings, banquets and other major events for Shangri-La in the Philippines. Candidates typically need a degree or diploma in hospitality, events, business or a related field, together with several years of hotel or event-management experience, preferably in a luxury property. Strong leadership, budgeting, negotiation, client-service and organisational skills are expected. The successful candidate should be confident managing multiple events, developing client relationships, coordinating with food and beverage and operations teams, supervising staff, meeting revenue targets and ensuring excellent guest experiences. Flexibility, professional communication and the ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays are essential.
