Threat Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

The Threat Intelligence Analyst supports ANZ’s cybersecurity capability by monitoring, investigating and interpreting cyber threats affecting the bank, its customers and the wider financial sector. Requirements typically include experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, incident response or related analysis; knowledge of threat actors, vulnerabilities, indicators of compromise and intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK; and strong research, communication and reporting skills. Familiarity with SIEM, threat-intelligence platforms, dark-web monitoring and scripting is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to produce timely intelligence, identify emerging risks, collaborate with security and technology teams, and communicate technical findings clearly to business stakeholders. Analytical thinking, curiosity, discretion and a continuous-learning mindset are important.
