Job Description

The Manager, Assurance and Controls role is responsible for strengthening ANZ’s control environment through assurance reviews, control testing, risk assessment, issue management and advice to business stakeholders. Requirements typically include relevant experience in internal controls, operational risk, audit, compliance or assurance, along with strong knowledge of governance frameworks and regulatory expectations. Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to analyse complex information, identify control weaknesses, recommend practical improvements and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders. Strong influencing, project management, reporting and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative, risk-aware culture.
