Job Description

The Steward supports the kitchen and food-and-beverage operations by washing dishes, pots, utensils, and equipment; maintaining cleanliness in kitchens, storage areas, and service spaces; removing waste; and assisting with basic cleaning and sanitation duties. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, well organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous stewarding, cleaning, or hotel experience is helpful but may not be essential. The role requires attention to hygiene standards, safe chemical handling, teamwork, flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, and the ability to follow instructions. As a foreign worker, the successful candidate must meet Mauritius employment and work-permit requirements.
