Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates rather than a single island, although Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Island is a major business and leisure district connected to the city by bridges. Hospitality, food and beverage, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and luxury services provide strong employment opportunities. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international population; modest dress, respect for religion, and awareness of local customs are important. Life in Abu Dhabi is modern, safe, and convenient, with excellent dining, beaches, malls, public transport, and desert activities, though summers are extremely hot. Employers usually arrange a work permit and residence visa after hiring, with medical checks and Emirates ID procedures required. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, gratuities, probation terms, and other benefits before relocating. Costs vary, especially for rent, so employer-provided housing can be valuable.
