Job Description

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring hotel costs, inventory, purchasing, stock movements and food and beverage margins. Typical requirements include relevant experience in hotel finance or cost control, strong Excel and accounting skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with hospitality systems and inventory procedures. The successful candidate is expected to review invoices and purchase orders, conduct stock counts, investigate variances, prepare regular cost reports and support department managers with budget control. Experience in a luxury hotel, knowledge of local tax and accounting practices, good communication skills and the ability to work accurately under deadlines are desirable. Professional integrity, teamwork and a practical approach to improving financial performance are essential.
