Destination Guide

Japan offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, technology, education, finance, healthcare, and international business. Osaka is a major commercial city with excellent transport, a lower cost of living than Tokyo, and a lively food and cultural scene. Japanese workplaces generally value punctuality, respect, teamwork, attention to detail, and formal communication, while international hotels often use English alongside Japanese. Lifestyle choices range from dense urban living to quieter suburban areas, with efficient trains, reliable public services, and four distinct seasons. Foreign employees normally need an appropriate work status, commonly an Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services visa for corporate or hospitality roles. The employer typically supports the Certificate of Eligibility and visa process, but requirements vary by position and nationality. Candidates should budget for housing deposits, transport, health insurance, taxes, and initial living costs, and confirm relocation assistance directly with Four Seasons.
