Job Description

The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will assess, diagnose and treat children or adults with communication, speech, language, voice and swallowing difficulties, depending on the service area. The role requires a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification, registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, relevant clinical experience and strong knowledge of evidence-based practice. The successful candidate is expected to manage a clinical caseload, create and review treatment plans, maintain accurate records, work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams, and support junior colleagues or students. Excellent communication, organisation, safeguarding awareness and the ability to work independently across community settings are essential. A driving licence and access to transport may also be required.
