Job Description

The MHST Clinical Psychologist will provide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for children, young people and families through a Mental Health Support Team. The role involves working with schools and partner services, delivering consultation, training and supervision, maintaining accurate clinical records, and contributing to service development. Applicants are expected to hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or an equivalent qualification, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and have relevant experience with children and young people. Knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy, risk assessment, safeguarding and multidisciplinary working is important. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, sound clinical judgement, cultural sensitivity, resilience and a commitment to inclusive, recovery-focused care.
