Applicants should hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise, relevant postgraduate medical experience and demonstrable competence in acute and general internal medicine. ALS certification, or willingness to obtain it, is usually expected. The successful candidate will work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, make safe clinical decisions, maintain accurate records and participate in teaching, audit, quality improvement and the out-of-hours rota. Strong communication skills, professional integrity, resilience and a commitment to patient-centred NHS care are essential.
