The role is likely to include participation in the acute medical take, ambulatory emergency care, clinical governance, teaching and service development. Applicants should hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise, have completed or be within an appropriate stage of specialist training in acute or general internal medicine, and be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register or an equivalent route. Candidates are expected to demonstrate sound clinical judgement, effective communication, teamwork, leadership, commitment to patient safety and the ability to contribute to a 24-hour consultant-led service.
