Job Description

The Registered Nurse – ICU will provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care to critically ill patients in an intensive care environment. Applicants should hold current NMC registration, have relevant nursing experience and demonstrate sound clinical assessment, medication-management and infection-control skills. Experience in intensive care, acute nursing or a willingness to complete specialist ICU training is desirable. The successful candidate will monitor patients closely, respond effectively to emergencies, work collaboratively with doctors and the wider multidisciplinary team, and maintain accurate clinical records. Candidates are expected to communicate sensitively with patients and relatives, uphold professional standards, participate in continuing development and contribute to a safe, supportive working environment. Shift work, including nights, weekends and bank holidays, is normally required.
