Job Description

The NHS 111 Clinician will provide specialist mental-health advice, assessment and support to children and young people under 18 who contact NHS 111. Requirements typically include current professional registration as a mental-health nurse, registered nurse, social worker or occupational therapist, relevant post-registration experience, and strong knowledge of risk assessment, safeguarding, crisis intervention and children’s mental-health services. The successful candidate should communicate calmly and compassionately, make safe clinical decisions independently, work effectively with families and partner agencies, and maintain accurate records. The role may involve shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
