Job Description

The Staff Nurse – Gynaecology role involves delivering safe, compassionate nursing care to women receiving inpatient and outpatient gynaecological treatment. Applicants should hold active NMC registration, or be eligible to obtain it, and demonstrate sound clinical knowledge, effective communication and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in gynaecology, women’s health or an acute hospital setting is beneficial, although newly qualified nurses may be considered. The successful candidate will assess patients, administer medicines, monitor recovery, maintain accurate records, support procedures and provide health education. Candidates are expected to follow safeguarding, infection-control and Trust policies, prioritise workloads, maintain confidentiality and contribute to service improvement. Flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends and bank holidays is normally required.
