The Band 3 Children’s Palliative Carer provides compassionate, individualised care to babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, supporting their comfort, dignity and families. Duties may include personal care, symptom observation, assisting with clinical interventions, emotional support, record keeping and working closely with nurses, therapists and other professionals. Candidates are expected to have relevant experience in healthcare or children’s care, preferably an NVQ or Diploma at Level 3, strong communication skills and an understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality. The role requires patience, emotional resilience, teamwork, reliability and a willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
