Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, modern island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, food and beverage, tourism, events, technology, finance, healthcare, and logistics. Its culture is multicultural, with Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences reflected in food, festivals, and daily life. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, and urban, with excellent public transport, shopping, parks, beaches, and dining, although housing and general costs can be high. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and occupation. Relocating workers should budget for accommodation, transport, medical insurance, deposits, and initial living expenses, and should verify pass eligibility and employment conditions before accepting an offer.
