Destination Guide

Singapore offers opportunities in integrated resorts, hotels, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare, logistics, education and professional services. Its culture is multicultural, orderly and multilingual, with English widely used at work; Chinese, Malay and Indian influences are visible in food, festivals and daily life. The lifestyle is convenient and urban, supported by excellent public transport, safe neighbourhoods, diverse dining and abundant shopping, although housing and living costs can be high. Foreign professionals normally require an employment pass sponsored by their employer, with eligibility depending on salary, qualifications and experience; other work-pass options apply to different skill levels. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and tax registration. Singapore is compact rather than a traditional holiday island, but it provides easy access to beaches, parks and nearby destinations across Southeast Asia.
