Destination Guide

Singapore offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, and construction. Marina Bay Sands and other major hotels regularly recruit for operational and guest-service roles. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and generally polite, with English widely used at work; Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also official languages. Life is convenient, safe, and highly connected, although rent and daily expenses can be high. Public transport is excellent, and hawker centres provide affordable meals. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and occupation. Employers usually guide successful applicants through the application process. Before relocating, candidates should confirm housing costs, medical coverage, contract terms, transport arrangements, and eligibility requirements with the employer and Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower.
