Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in finance, hospitality, technology, healthcare, logistics, retail, and property services. English is widely used at work, while the culture is multicultural, efficient, and generally respectful of punctuality and workplace procedures. The lifestyle is convenient, with excellent public transport, safe neighbourhoods, diverse food, shopping, parks, and entertainment, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Foreign employees usually need an appropriate work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, sponsored or applied for by an employer. Eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and sector requirements. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking, and tax registration where applicable. Central areas are well connected but expensive; living farther from the business district can reduce rent while retaining easy access by MRT.
