Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in finance, technology, hospitality, real estate, logistics, healthcare and professional services. Business analysts can find roles with multinational companies, banks, property groups, consultancies and technology firms, although competition is high. The culture is multicultural, efficient and generally English-speaking, with Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences. Lifestyle highlights include excellent public transport, safe neighborhoods, hawker food, shopping, parks and easy access to regional travel. Employment passes depend on qualifications, salary and employer sponsorship; internships may use a Training Employment Pass or other approved arrangement, while eligible graduates may later qualify for an Employment Pass or S Pass. New arrivals should budget carefully, especially for rent, and arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and local transport before starting work.
