This internship supports the Procurement team in sourcing food, beverage and operational supplies for Marina Bay Sands. Typical responsibilities include researching suppliers, requesting quotations, comparing prices, maintaining purchasing records, assisting with purchase orders, monitoring deliveries and coordinating with internal departments. Candidates should be enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant diploma or degree programme, such as procurement, supply chain, hospitality, business or logistics. Good communication, organisation, attention to detail and basic Microsoft Office skills are expected. An interest in hospitality operations, willingness to learn, and the ability to work professionally with vendors and colleagues are important. Previous procurement, purchasing or hotel experience is helpful but may not be essential.
Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort in Singapore operated by Las Vegas Sands. Located beside Marina Bay, it combines three hotel towers with the iconic Sands SkyPark, convention and exhibition facilities, restaurants, luxury retail, entertainment venues, a casino and a large range of business and leisure attractions. The resort serves international visitors, corporate groups and local guests, and is one of Singapore’s best-known hospitality employers. Its operations involve hotel services, food and beverage, events, retail, entertainment, facilities and gaming. Employees typically work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with strong emphasis on service standards, safety, compliance and operational efficiency. An internship with the Procurement team can provide practical exposure to supplier management, purchasing processes and the supply chain supporting a major integrated resort.
Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, logistics, finance, technology, retail and events. The culture is multicultural, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Life is safe and convenient, although accommodation and dining in central areas can be expensive. Public transport is extensive, reliable and affordable, and tropical weather is hot and humid throughout the year with frequent rain. International interns should confirm whether their employer arranges a Training Employment Pass or another suitable work authorisation; working without the correct pass is not permitted. Longer-term employees generally require an Employment Pass, S Pass or other Ministry of Manpower approval. Before relocating, budget for housing, transport, insurance and deposits, and check eligibility, pass conditions and employer support directly with Marina Bay Sands.
