Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with extensive coastal areas and several resort islands. Hospitality offers strong opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, catering, events, aviation, and tourism, particularly for experienced international managers. UAE culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage, and a highly international population. Respectful dress, public behaviour, religious customs, and Ramadan practices are important. Lifestyle can be modern and comfortable, with excellent dining, shopping, beaches, and entertainment, although rent and summer temperatures can be high. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer normally arranges permits, medical checks, Emirates ID, and related processing. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, gratuity, annual leave, airfare, and probation terms before accepting. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have extensive expatriate communities, international schools, and good air connections, making relocation relatively straightforward for qualified hospitality professionals.
