Flower Shop Manager

Hong Kong Shangri-La HKD 18,000–28,000 per month*
Job Description

The Flower Shop Manager oversees daily operations of Shangri-La’s hotel flower shop, including floral design, purchasing, inventory, merchandising, sales, customer service and staff supervision. Candidates should have several years of experience in floristry, flower-shop retail or a related luxury hospitality environment, with strong knowledge of flowers, arrangements and seasonal products. Good communication skills in English and Cantonese are likely important, along with commercial awareness, creativity, organisation and attention to detail. The successful candidate is expected to maintain high presentation standards, deliver personalised service, manage costs and stock efficiently, develop corporate and hotel-based sales, and support special events, weddings and guest requests.

Company Info

Shangri-La Group is a Hong Kong-founded luxury hospitality company with hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. Its properties are known for attentive service, refined accommodation, dining, wellness facilities and strong local character. Shangri-La places emphasis on genuine hospitality, personalised guest experiences and long-term colleague development. In Hong Kong, the group operates prominent luxury hotels serving business travellers, leisure guests, residents and major events. A Flower Shop Manager would typically work within this premium service environment, combining retail management and floristry with the standards expected of a five-star hotel. The role may involve collaboration with guest services, banqueting, weddings, sales and executive offices, providing floral products and arrangements for guests, hotel spaces and special occasions.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers extensive opportunities in luxury hotels, retail, floristry, events, finance, technology, aviation and professional services. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences, and English is widely used in business, although Cantonese is valuable for customer-facing roles. Lifestyle is fast-paced and urban, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, hiking and easy access to beaches and outlying islands. Hong Kong is a major city rather than a single resort island, though Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories each offer distinct living environments. Overseas professionals generally need an employer-sponsored visa, commonly through the General Employment Policy, while eligible applicants may use other talent or admission schemes. Employers often assist with relocation, but housing is expensive and compact. New arrivals should arrange employment approval, accommodation, insurance and banking before moving.
