The General Technician supports the hotel’s Engineering and Maintenance team by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities. Typical duties include basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, air-conditioning and equipment repairs, as well as responding promptly to maintenance requests. Candidates should have relevant technical training or trade experience, practical troubleshooting skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Hotel, resort or building-maintenance experience is advantageous. The role requires reliability, physical fitness, attention to detail, good communication and the flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. A service-minded attitude and the ability to work independently or with a multicultural team are expected.
