Job Description

The Security Officer helps protect guests, colleagues, property and hotel assets at Shangri-La Hong Kong. Typical requirements include relevant hotel, security or customer-service experience, good physical fitness, strong observation skills and clear spoken English; Cantonese and Mandarin are advantageous. The candidate should be reliable, calm under pressure and professional when handling emergencies, incidents, access control, patrols and guest concerns. Responsibilities may include monitoring CCTV, recording reports, enforcing hotel security procedures, assisting with evacuations and cooperating with the police or emergency services. A valid Hong Kong security personnel permit or the ability to obtain the required licence may be expected. Shift work, weekends and public holidays are normally part of the role.
