Job Description

The Executive Housekeeper is expected to lead the hotel’s housekeeping and public-area teams, maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and guest comfort. Requirements typically include several years of housekeeping experience in an upscale or luxury hotel, previous supervisory or managerial responsibility, strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, room inspections, linen control, budgeting and health and safety standards. The candidate should be organised, hands-on, service-focused and comfortable training staff, managing schedules, controlling costs and responding to guest concerns. Good communication, leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Experience with hotel property-management systems and multicultural teams is advantageous.
