Job Description

The Captain – In-Room Dining is responsible for supervising daily room-service operations, coordinating orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery, and maintaining Shangri-La’s service standards. Candidates should have relevant experience in hotel food and beverage operations, preferably in in-room dining or a luxury hospitality environment. Strong communication, guest-service, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required, along with good knowledge of food and beverage service, hygiene, and presentation. The role typically involves shift work, weekends, public holidays, and extended periods on foot. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, coach team members, handle guest requests professionally, coordinate with the kitchen and front office, and create a polished, personalized dining experience.
