Security Officer

Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, colleagues, property and hotel assets at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Duties typically include patrolling the premises, monitoring CCTV and access points, responding to incidents, assisting guests, preparing reports, supporting emergency procedures and enforcing hotel security policies. Candidates should have relevant security or hospitality experience, good physical fitness, sound judgement and a professional, service-oriented manner. A valid Hong Kong Security Personnel Permit is normally required, along with good communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is advantageous. The role requires shift work, including overnight, weekend and public-holiday duties. Candidates are expected to remain calm under pressure, maintain confidentiality and work effectively with police, emergency services and hotel departments.
