Job Description

The Tea Master is responsible for creating and delivering an exceptional Chinese tea experience for hotel guests. Requirements typically include strong knowledge of tea varieties, origins, brewing methods, service etiquette and tea culture, along with experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant, tea house or hospitality setting. Fluency in Cantonese and English is advantageous, while Mandarin may be preferred. The successful candidate should be polished, attentive, culturally knowledgeable and confident when explaining teas and recommending pairings. Duties may include preparing and serving tea, maintaining tea equipment and stock, training colleagues, supporting promotions and ensuring consistently high service standards. A passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and flexibility to work shifts are expected.
