Security Officer

Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, colleagues, hotel property and assets at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Typical duties include patrols, access control, monitoring CCTV and alarms, responding to incidents, preparing reports, supporting emergency procedures and assisting guests professionally. Candidates should usually have relevant hotel, commercial or security experience, good communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A valid Hong Kong Security Personnel Permit is generally required, while first-aid, fire-safety or hospitality experience is advantageous. The role requires shift work, including nights, weekends and public holidays, along with physical fitness, a neat appearance and strong integrity.
