Company Info

Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and recognised internationally for high-quality hotels, resorts and guest service. The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations under brands including Shangri-La, Kerry Hotels, JEN and Traders. Its hotels commonly provide accommodation, restaurants, meeting facilities, wellness services and personalised experiences for leisure and business travellers. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on Asian hospitality, professional service, employee training and operational standards. In Hong Kong, the company has a longstanding presence and offers opportunities across rooms, food and beverage, engineering, finance, guest services and support operations such as laundry. Employees may benefit from structured hotel training, international brand exposure and career mobility, although duties can involve shift work and demanding service periods.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers a fast-paced international lifestyle, excellent public transport and strong employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, retail, finance, logistics and professional services. Hospitality workers may find roles in luxury hotels, resorts, clubs and catering businesses, especially in areas such as Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and the airport. The culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences; Cantonese is widely used, while English is common in tourism and business. Housing is expensive and space is limited, so many workers share accommodation or live in the New Territories for lower rents. Public transport is efficient, and healthcare and everyday services are widely available. Foreign employees generally require an appropriate employment visa, normally sponsored by the employer, with proof of qualifications, a genuine job offer and suitable salary. Candidates should confirm visa, accommodation and relocation details before accepting an offer.
