Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers broad opportunities in logistics, warehousing, transport, retail, technology, healthcare, finance and professional services. Major employment centres include London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow and Belfast, with warehouse jobs often available near large distribution parks. British workplace culture generally values punctuality, politeness, personal responsibility and clear communication. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to quieter coastal and rural communities, with strong public transport in larger cities. Rent and living costs can be high, especially in London and southeast England. Most overseas workers need a visa before starting employment. The Skilled Worker route requires an eligible sponsored job and usually a qualifying salary; warehouse administration roles may not always meet the occupation and salary requirements. Irish citizens have separate rights under the Common Travel Area. Check current rules with the UK government before relocating, and budget for accommodation, healthcare-related costs, transport and visa fees.
