Job Description

The Driver Class 1 role involves operating an HGV vehicle, typically transporting parcels, freight or equipment between DHL sites, customers and distribution centres. Candidates are expected to hold a valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), and a valid digital tachograph card. Previous HGV driving experience is usually desirable, along with a safe, responsible and customer-focused approach. The role requires compliance with road transport legislation, working-time rules and DHL health and safety procedures. Candidates should be physically capable of loading or checking freight, comfortable with delivery paperwork and vehicle inspections, and flexible to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends or public holidays.
