Job Description

The Driver Class 1 role involves safely operating an HGV articulated vehicle, completing scheduled deliveries and collections, and providing professional customer service. Candidates normally need a valid UK Category C+E licence, a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), and a digital tachograph card. Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of UK road regulations, drivers’ hours and vehicle safety checks. The role requires physical fitness for loading and unloading activities, good route-planning skills, reliability and flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights or weekends. Candidates are expected to maintain accurate delivery records, represent DHL professionally and comply fully with health, safety and transport procedures.
